Unfair case, went to trial twice?

My boyfriend recently went to trial for charges in a criminal case. He was found not guilty for Conspiracy Robbery w/Danger weapon, Asault with a deadly weapon/intent to serious injury/kill, and burglary in the first degree. During the trial, the jurors were not able to come up with a verdict for Robbery with a dangerous weapon-individual and kidnapping in the first degree. The District Attorney decided to try his case again. This time he was found guilty for the robbery w/dangerous weapon-individual and kidnapping. But the DA failed to bring in evidence such as the detective working the case and the forensic scientist who found no fingerprints. There was no gun in evidence and I cannot understand why he got convicted of robbery with dangerous weapon when he was found not guilty for conspiracy and asault with deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 25 years for these 2 charges. What should be his next step in order to reduce his sentencing. He lives in Charlotte,NC currently.

Can you leave a tour group?

Tour groups are great for many things. They preplan trips so you don't need to do bookings, and they get incredibly cheap prices. Yet, I hate following their itinerary. I've never been to a country with a tour group, but is it possible for me just to use them to get to my country, then do things on my own? CA - Child Endangerment Question?

My wife was at the video store and got asked for a ride by her 2nd cousin. Hes 20 something. He came over to the house, apparently may have called a party line, and met someone. My wife did not know he did this. He later asks my wife for a ride to pickup his girlfriend and they talk about going to the movies. Well, my wife picked his "girlfriend" up. She looked a little younger than him, and my wife asks if she is 18, just to be safe and with a sneaking suspicion shes younger. My wife also asks if she has permission to go out at 7 pm. She says shes 18 and says its ok. So now the two are in the car with my wife and baby and 15 yr old nephew. Somehow things end up in a neighboring city, near where my wifes parents are. They ask to be let out at a residential intersection. Turns out my wife drove by again, and this girl was crying . Then, my wife basically takes her back home as her cousin has dissapeared. Apparently, when they get to the "girlfriends" house, my wife finds out she is only 14. Funny, the girl says she is 15. So anyway, the cousin gets arrested. They were looking for my wife too, but the officer just did a phone interview and wanted to know where to find the suspect....Anyway...so now is my wife guilty of child endangerment. ? This morning i saw him floating upside down so i umed he was dead so i scooped him out of the water with a net and he started kicking and climbing on the net, so i put him back in the water and he went back to floating upside down at the top of the tank. Help! This kid is bugging me with his screams, its irrating!!?

OMG, I can hear him crying already. I swear i wanna strangle that damn lil kid. I'm a nice person, I like little kids, i have a couple of nieces, nephews and little cousins. But this kid will drive you insane makes you want to go over and hit him in the mouth. You just got to believe me its so ANNOYING! and i don't know what to do. so okay, i live in a quiet private community (well used to be quiet until these hooligans moved in) and across from my house, like about two or three houses down, that's where that annoying kid lives. Now it would be alright if the kid was like 5 months, I'd understand 'cuz its still a baby. But this kid is about 4, 5 years old besides hearing his screams during the days, at times, at night it gets worse. Because I'm trying to get some sleep for school the next day, (I'm 17 by the way), and this kid keeps me awake for hours at night. I don't get enough sleep! Like for instance last night, this damn kid kept screaming loudly like if they were attacking him or killing him with a knife. He started at 11: and stopped quietly, somewhat around 12 almost 1. And then I was sleeping happily, or so I thought until that stupid kid, excuse my language, came again yelling and shouting as loud as he could. Not even my little cousin who's 2 almost 3 years old screams that loud or annoying. And what makes this even worse is that the kid sleeps close by the window, and you could hear the stupid parents yelling at him like, "Que, Que Quieres!!" Translation: "What! What do you want"! Or Be quiet, or Don't touch that! And once I yelled throught my window to them to SHUT UP! and they slightly closed their window, yea.. like that helped. And of course my mother got mad at me and said that i shouldn't do that 'cuz its in their house. But I'm like ya as long as the noise stays inside their house and doesn't disturb anybody thats okay, but this kid is disturbing the neighbors and affecting us as well. Now i know the neighbor's who are across from them could hear the screams very much well as i could and are to nice to not say anythin about it. But its distrurbing me very much with my sleep. So what can i do. Now these people are ignorant to talk to, 'cuz this isnt the first time they've caused problem, before they woudn't respect parking rules, and they'd play soccor outside hitting and banging the garages with their ball which few nieghbors would complain to them, and worst of all they'd put that loud mexican music at NIGHT! I'm mexican too, mexican american, but these mexican thinks its TJ or those cheap crowded apartments where they think they can do anything. and its not! This is a quiet private community and they need to respect that. and of course how can we forget, that nasty urine smell outside their garage I will not go further than that but let's just say that no one was doing anthing about this, and so since this bugged my parents alot, they sent a letter to the ociation and since then i guess the ociation sent them a letter warning. My dog howls at sirens?

my lab does the same thing! I know my dog doesn't do it because he is afraid of them, and I thought for a long time he did it because the pitch of the sirens was so high it hurt his ears. Now I'm starting to think he does it just because he can. Who knows... The only way to really tell if your dog is scared of the noise is if he trembles, or tucks his tail between his legs, or other such behavior. Sounds like from what you described that he's not scared. I have rented my house in Nashville, Tennessee for about five years, and recently my friend was leaving here when he accidentally backed into the air conditioning unit. Re-instating water after shutoff.?

Draining a system should go like this, turn the main water supply to the house to the off position. The water heater open the high pressure cut off enter the house and open all of the water faucets along with the hose bibs on the out side of the house. Allow the water to completely drain from the pipes once this is done close all the faucets hose bib and over pressure vale on the hot water tank. when you fill the system do the same until water is flowing from all of the outlets and there is no more spitting of air from the faucets.

I went to my appt yesterday and they think i have preeclampsia because three weeks ago i gained 8.5 pounds in 2 weeks, they found a small amount of protein in my urine, my blood pressure was 160 something over 90, and my feet are swelling...yesterday i got weighed and only gained a half a pound in a week, they retook my blood pressure and it was back down to normal but i still have swelling. i had to go give blood and urine yesterday after my appt and i have to go back in today to get the results. im pretty scared because this is my first baby and my mom had preeclampsia with me. If I do have it what's gonna happen?

Now I know that kids ask and think this all the time, I don't know what I want to do. And before anyone tries giving me these other answers, I can't go to my school counselors. Of the two of them one just helps with getting into colleges and helps you with getting work and making a resume, while the other one, the one who helps with everything else, is from Barbados or some place like that. She speaks English but it's VERY hard to understand what she's saying and it feels uncomfortable to talk to her. I already took my ACT's and got a measly 24, but I never sent it to any colleges. Ive recieved this box in the mail after purchasing a new 2008 mini in germany and there was a flap in the box. This flap says "nothing to see behind this flap. zero. zip. and of course, zilch". I have a toy size 10 pound poodle. He was just diagnosed with a luxating patella. My vet prescribed some pain killers for him and wants me to keep him on bed rest for a whole week in his crate. My problem is he is a puppy with tons of energy. Even with pain causing him to limp he still loves to run and jump. I also have a 2nd toy size poodle of the same age and they get each other riled up. When I put him in his crate he cries and bites on the wire door. I have over the counter sleep aids. It's like tylenol p.m. without the tylenol. This is only a starting point for me to do research. But I want to see what the over allopinionn is for giving dogs something like this. I've heard of people giving dogs benedryl which is similar. I want to hear what people have to say, and trust me I love my dogs. So if people say it's ok to give him, doesn't mean I'm going to rush to my medicine cabinet and drop a pill in his mouth. Now the truth is, Affirmative Action (well, not AA, it doesn't even apply in these cases, but let's say racial preferences) can help get someone in to Harvard Law, but it can't help them graduate or earn them honors. So -- why are some people so quick to ume that someone who is black benefitted from preferences even in cirstances when he didn't? Should we take the kids to see their mother in prison?

In september of last year my fiance's ex-wife was sent to jail and has since be sentenced to 9 years. They have 3 children together which I was well aquainted with them before this time. The kids have been living with us and my fiance received sole custody from the court. His ex is quite the manipulator and liar. This has been apparant for some time with things the kids used to tell us. She was on the run from the law before her final arrest though she lied to my fiance about it and moved the kids several times and even had them living in a motel before her final arrest. Of course she began to kiss my fiance's when she was in jail writing the typical jail letters. She writes the kids every week and at first we withheld many of the letters as she spoke of getting out soon and hoping to be home by Thanksgiving, etc. We knew the reality of the situation thanks to public information and the internet. We have given the kids other letters and have explained to them the situation and they are free to write her whenever they like. We have not allowed any phone calls as they are quite expensive but have been considering if that would be a good thing. Given her track record and her want and need to get in their heads and cause problems we are worried how that would affect the children. Her last letter had mentioned wanting my fiance to bring the kids to visit her when she gets moved to prison as she is still being held in a local jail. We are worried about letting the kids visit her because of her antics in the past and what all she will try and fill their heads with. They seem to be doing so well and have adjusted and enjoy having structure and security. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The promise is that you get it back but consider the interest you lost and they gained; taken from everyone regardless of a "credit score". I bet there's at least over 60% of those that have had to go through this and have decent credit scores of 7 or better. I see a headline case for an attorney. Q: Is their a group or advocate that you can report this abusive action to?

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Little kids everywhere. what to do next time?

I babysit on a regular basis for a couple who has 3 kids. A 5 yo who listens when he wants to, a 3 yo who has some sort of very mild autism, and a 2 yo who has her moments. She's very stubborn. When she's happy she's a bundle of joy, when she's not, look out for screaming bloody murder (like when mommy just walked out the door). Anyhoo, i was watching them with my friend once (I'm almost 15, friend is 15. i didn't feel comfortable watching them by myself since it was all day), and we were playing with a sheet (of all things) and one of them would get in the middle, we'd pick up the sides and swing them back and forth. Now every stinkin' time I watch them, it's "swing, swing, swing" and since it's just me, I can't do it (since you need 2 older people), and the younger 2 scream. I also have another problem when I got them dressed up in swimsuits one time, and we laid down towels and played with water in the kitchen floor. now every time it's "water, water".

Can't decide what book to read?

Every Friday in my English cl, we go to the library to read and I finished the book I was reading today. I read Animal Farm (which was awesome) because I read 1984 for fun a couple years ago and that was by George Orwell as well. I need another book to read. I was thinking of reading The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I was going to read that this past summer but I had to read Moby and three other books. I was probably the only person to read Moby too. In cl, we read The Hobbit, which I thought was great, although extremely slow and boring in the beginning. After that, I really got into the Lord of the Rings movies, which was why I was thinking of reading the books. Based on this, should I read the epic fantasy books of JRR Tolkien? Here is a list of my favorite books: Watchmen, To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984, All Quiet on the Western Front, Flags of Our Fathers, The Killer Angels, Catcher in the Rye, The Hobbit. If it helps, my favorite subject in school is history. I was also interested in any other books anyone could recommend.
