Standon calling festival 2010 times?

I am hoping to go to the Standon Calling music festival this year. On the website it says between 6th and 8th August, but then it says about how it opens on the 5th. I'm confused. Which day should I get there and which day should I leave? On the Sunday- the 8th or the Monday? Also what time should I book train tickets for? How early do I want to get there and how late do I want to leave? ...First festival I'm going to. Also should I take my families tent or should me and my friends buy a cheap one, could it get recked? Thanks
