Why does everybody think muslims are the "base" of(or reason behind) terrorism?

Because the people with the loudest voices are the ones who get heard the most, and those people are mainly Americans. Americans don't want to realize that their country was founded by terrorists and with their ever reaching arms of war they continue to terrorize to this day.
