Should I switch from Clarinet to Piccolo/Flute in marching band?

I have just finished marching band season w/ clarinet at school and I feel like I did not enjoy playing clarinet. I really enjoy the sound and music of the piccolo/flute, and considering to make the switch. I know all about the embrasure of the piccolo and flute, the s, and played both of them a couple of times. If I consider the switch I would have to purchase, and practice them as soon as possible to convince my band director.
