Will I have an appendectomy if I don't really have bad appendicitis?

I have pain in/around the area where the appendix is, and nausea, I'm just not sure if I should wait until it gets worse to see a doctor. I'd rather have it removed now so I don't have to go through the waiting to see if it will get worse, so will I have an appendectomy with just these symptoms?
