I would get a large box and place all his dirty things in it outside of his room for him to take care of when he is ready. You could invite some ladies up for coffee this should embarr him into cleaning up if you explain to them the box of dirty dishes, etc. belong to the him. A few guest seeing this should convince him to clean up his act.
