Pennsylvania Electric Utility Security Deposit?
One lady (title Lisa from NY on this site) stated she had to pay a deposit for electricity based on a credit score. I'd like to know how many others out there got scammed too! I have a good enough score to buy a 350k house but not good enough to just get the electric turned on; I'm with the upper 52%. I asked the rep 'what's a good score' and she (Lexy) didn't answer. When I mentioned how good my credit was recently rated by the top three credit groups the response was switched to "you haven't done business with us before." When I pressed the question further her response was "do you need to contact our loan group for the money?" This is a banking scam and extortion to say the least. The promise is that you get it back but consider the interest you lost and they gained; taken from everyone regardless of a "credit score". I bet there's at least over 60% of those that have had to go through this and have decent credit scores of 7 or better. I see a headline case for an attorney. Q: Is their a group or advocate that you can report this abusive action to?
