I want to put a Poem on my Wall, will a Permanent Marker work on Wall Paint?

problem is, once it's on, good luck ever trying to cover it over with paint. wd-40 will just make that mess worse... i suggest a dark latex paint, if it's a light colored wall, with a thin, like, artist style brush
