How good of a school is Stony Brook University?

I'm asking around about different colleges that I'm considering, but I want some opinions first before I make any kind of decision. How good is Stony Brook University really. I saw that they had Nursing and that's what I want to go for. If anybody knows about the school or about their nursing program, can you please let me know a bit about it? It would be much appreciated. ^^
