Can't decide what book to read?

Every Friday in my English cl, we go to the library to read and I finished the book I was reading today. I read Animal Farm (which was awesome) because I read 1984 for fun a couple years ago and that was by George Orwell as well. I need another book to read. I was thinking of reading The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I was going to read that this past summer but I had to read Moby and three other books. I was probably the only person to read Moby too. In cl, we read The Hobbit, which I thought was great, although extremely slow and boring in the beginning. After that, I really got into the Lord of the Rings movies, which was why I was thinking of reading the books. Based on this, should I read the epic fantasy books of JRR Tolkien? Here is a list of my favorite books: Watchmen, To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984, All Quiet on the Western Front, Flags of Our Fathers, The Killer Angels, Catcher in the Rye, The Hobbit. If it helps, my favorite subject in school is history. I was also interested in any other books anyone could recommend.
